Our new boarding house is fully equipped to provide 24/7 care for 30 plus children aged 5-11 years. Health and hygiene provision has been built in to the dormitory designs. There are secure and separate boys and girls accommodation with their own toilet and shower areas. For additional security there are CCTV cameras linked to the Supervisor’s room. Exits include two fire escape stairways plus fire alarms to ensure the safety of your children.

We are basing our care on a supervision level of a 10:1 ratio. Male and female care staff will ensure proper and adequate care standards are maintained. In addition night staff will guarantee your children’s good health.

The school day is organised for education care and leisure times. Regular routines on meal and bed times are part of our good care policy. There are also prep-study and recreation times to provide a balanced care programme.

• All meals are in the main school dining hall and are prepared in our main kitchen.
• A television is available but it has limited and planned viewing.
• Weekend outings are arranged.
• There are school games areas for organised and informal play.
• At least one hour a day there will be a home work study time.
• First aid support is in place at the boarding house, but our fully equipped medical centre in the main school is available too.

Boarding school rules and guides:

1. Parental access is unlimited but planned Saturday/ Sunday visits are preferred. We do not allow children to bring mobile phones but a school phone is available for weekend calls and emergencies.
2. Busy parents can bring their children on Sunday night and collect them for the weekend on Fridays. Parents who are travelling can also bring them to the boarding house and collect them on their return.
3. We do not allow any food in the dormitory areas.
4. We ask children not to bring expensive music players or other toys which can get stolen, lost or broken.
5. There is a list of clothing that is required; more is not better.
6. No child is allowed to leave the secure school campus without permission and supervision.
7. Full boarding is available for parents who frequently travel away from home.

Our boarding and education policies are caring with sensible levels of discipline to ensure the welfare of all. We aim to help the children develop good character, conduct and personal life aims.
